Hanna developed this project while working for the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research on climate change, as part of a national pilot program for Americorps. Through this program, she trained in the psychology of climate change and how to engage people to action and developed and implemented a regional climate change curriculum for local schools on the North Coast. Hanna is passionate about the role of education and community collaboration in enacting positive change, and has successfully worked with governmental agencies, nonprofits, schools, businesses and community members.
